Dah interview ke? I am based at Al-handasa with Offshore Engineering dept. I rigorously dealing with cost planning engineers in Engineering business dept.(EBF dept.)in executing offshore projects. I am not sure which section (onshore or offshore) that they have in mind. but i do know recently one of the senior cost/planning enginner baru tender resignation. dengar2 ada disagrement dengan bos. kalau ofhsore, tips-questions could be around your knowledge in projects planning like primavera, WBS that stuff and some knowledge in contracts. Good luck

oh gitu. saya suspek ini mesti utk position yg awak mentioned tu i.e Sr. Cost/Planning Engr. So you pun buat kerja2 cost/planning jugak ke? About the interview, i tak dpt reply dari Ahmed (dept administrator)after I kata mintak postpone...maybe mat yg nak resign tu tarik balik surat letak jawatan kot. BTW, yg buat cost/planning tu mostly dari mana?

I buat Project management and when it comes to planning we refer to them. Mat yang resign tu, tak tarik balik lagi memeang adamant nak berhenti. IN EBf dept (offshore), there are three planning engineers (2 x from India and 1 X africa). they all reporting to a lead planning engineer (pakistani with british passport)so you can expect diversity of working culture (this is actually the challenge working here). However, you must set your objective of what you want to achieve from here, kalau tidak you may get a 'shock' become demoralised and .....as you know (casualty). As for me;
1. Job satisfaction - NIL (compare to back home) BUT
2 Commercial - Ohh yesss
3. Family values - 'smashing", here I could spend more quality time with the family because unlike malaysia keluar kerja gelap balik pun gelap and weekend sibuk with cousins, aunties, uncles, in-laws etc.. To help kids with academic jauh sekali.
Sini banyak aktiviti with family especially the ones organise by our Malaysian Association fo Qatar.
4. As a muslim, since banyak masa, lots of opporunities to enhance my islamic knowledge and faith.
5. Reading. as above banyak ada masa, then you can catch up with readings.

Hope above explanation helps.

Jutra...well said!!....I share 100% your views on working with QP n living here in Doha....

Dulu I keje kat Riyadh...komuniti tak rapat sebab spread too thin amongst 5.7 million population (bigger then KL) also tak ramai ...only 500 including families and Nurses....

in Dubai also the same thing...you have to bear with all the negative side of living in a metropolitan...

I do find Doha a liveable city....not too big nor too small...you'll bump into somebody you know over groceries once in a awhile...to me that's a 'friendly sized city....'

cuma perancangan infrastruktur yang sedikit kelam kabut...korek jalan sana sini tapi tak siap2x....
