Is this salary enuff for living in Qatar??

Hi all,
I have been working as a banker having specialization in corporate banking in Malaysia. I have been offered a job in Qatar with one of the reputable bank in Qatar with a salary of approximately QR 25K of which QR14 will be for base salary and the remaining for my transport & housing allowances. I want to know will this amount be sufficent as I was informed 30% of ur salary allocated for ur accomodation. Not sure the remaining amount will ensure u to live comfortably and make any savings part of my salary. Will this amount be sufficient for me?
I want to know about living expenses in Qatar as of now. Im in the dilemma of accepting the offer as Im very excited of venturing myself into the new exposure. Your advise would much appreciated.

Bergantung kepada your plan. Kalau dtg sini single memang cukup sbb belanja x byk sgt kalau duduk bujang; eg.
Sewa bilik = QR3.5k
Sewa keta = QR1.8k
Makan = QR1.2k
Tiket balik = QR1k/month (say 3k/trip x 4 times = QR12k / 12 months)

Total = QR7.5k

Kalau dtg dgn family belanja besar sikit;
Sewa rumah = QR9k (say Rent 3 bed furnished apt. =8k + Util.=1k)
Sewa Keta = QR1.8k
Makan = QR3k
Sekolah = QR3.6k (Say 2 children x QR1.8/month)
Lain2 = QR1k

Total = QR18.4k

Thanx bro.. appreciate of ur inputs.. i'll most probably going there alone 1st.. based on my survey u can survive.. but struggle a bit.. nway i agree it's all depends on ur lifestyle and the way u manage ur life there.. nway.. would appreciate if you may give some of the "feel" of working and living in doha??

Working environment in Doha is very subjective. Especially working around many diff. nationalities will result in different working atmosphere. Sometimes diff way of doing things (system) and diff opinions (diff school of thoughts or lack of knowledge!!?) but you'll quickly get used to it.

Life is good, but very limited place to go during weekends. Malaysian community here is very good. If you get to know many new friends, you may be invited to join gathering/get together and ziarah (makan2) activities. There are also weekly or forth-nightly Usrah and occasionally Ceramah Agama organised by some of the Malaysian friends here.

Yes I agree, Malaysian comm is baik baik bai.. lagi lagi kalu ko meet dgn people that also having the same status with u iaitu bujang. touching bai macam tak percaya kat Malaysia mana ader nak baik macam ni. so insyallah.
