Astro setting on other Satellite Receiver (non-astro box) applicable in Tanah Melayu only

Salam,

I brought to KL my satellite receiver from Doha just to try-out compatibility with Astro. Here are some snapshots of the settings..
Channels scanned TV=124 Radio=30.

p/s: Astro channels are not receivable in the Middle-East due to no signal coverage.

Ada 2 possibilities kalau x dpt siaran.
1. Server IP kena block (permanent block)
2. Server Down (temp. block)

Kes sekarang ni Server Down..

X payah bwk box astro sbb xder signal coverage disini, kalau nak tgok RTM1 & RTM2 boleh lar tapi kena pakai Dish 1.8m with C-Band LNB. Modal QR1k + FTA Box QR250 = QR1,250/=

mamat bangla baru dtg rumah xplain pasal package tu dia charge QR1580
dapat rtm 1 n 2 tv 3 tak tentu plus 300 more chanel.
so ok ke?i dah agreed mayb 1/2 hari lagi datang la dia pasang.sekarang guna mosaic QR 280..sebulan,internet ok tapi tv asyik hang je.

Rasanya orang yang sama kot. Dia installed 6 kaki punye dish dengan Star Track receiver dan repair my Showtime receiver all for QR1500. Kalau pakai Maxx or Humax receiver dia charge lebih lagi. Tapi Star Track jugak yang boleh sebab dia kata area tempat saya ni ada radar interference. RTM1 dan 2 jer yang boleh tangkap signal dari Asiasat. Kalau nak TV3 kene pakai dish 10 kaki. Katanya saiz tu dah kira tak legal. Nak dapat pun melalui pasar gelap.

RTM 1 & RTM 2 bukan dipancarkan dari Asiasat tp dari Measat3.

TV3 signal boleh sampai ke sini (2.4m dish for better reception) tp sekarang nih tak boleh tengok sbb 'encrypted' (scrambled channel).

Breakdown kos pemasangan utk Measat3 (RTM1 & 2)

Dish 1.8m = QR480 ~ 550
LNB C Band = QR200
Upah pasang (1 dish 1.8m shj.)= QR250
Total = QR1k

Kos box (receiver) tak termasuk diatas. Harga box depends on brand & model QR230 ~ QR1500.

Satellite lain2 seperti Hotbird/Nilesat/Arabsat(Eurobird2) 3 dish termasuk LNB & pemasangan QR600 ~ QR700.

Ada 2 jenis channel

1 - Free to air (FTA) - free x payah bayar
2 - Scrambled/Encrypted Channel : Subscription based mcm Astro

Subscription based channel yang popular disini ada 2 ; Showtime (Nilesat) & Orbit (Arabsat). Charge bulanan dia pun mahal lagi compare to Astro. Kalau nak murah pakai TATA Sky (India satellite) QR40/month full package tp kena mintak tolong kwn India lar for subscription. Tata Sky melibatkan high initial cost sbb kena pakai dish 1.8m..

yang tu i tau...now i used mosaic bayar QR 250 sebulan with 35 channel
and wifi internet.but mosiac siaran tak bagus hang aje.then this mamat bangla ckp with this pacakage i dapat rtm 1 n 2 serta 300 chanel yg lain lagi free...no monthly payment.coz yg package ni ada 2 dish.ptg nanti dia dtg pasang la..it tak de 300 chanel suruh dia bukak balik la..if nak yg xxx pun ada dia cakap..tukar dish je...ampun anak bini dtg after raya...

Yang RTM 1 dan 2 tu tak payah bayar apa2.
